Hospital Intervention: Serving Humans, Robots, and AI
Fall 2018 - Studio Team Final Project (H. Jing, T. Pearson, Q. Zhao)

This graduate studio project sought to immerse students in the realm of speculative architectural possibilities. The assignment consisted of several parameters, provided by a separate group of students (acting in a client role). Teams then used these parameters to speculate on and design a future version of a site within the city of Syracuse, NY and an architectural intervention located on that site.

The key parameters for our project included:

  • the integration of robot and artificial intelligence into human day-to-day life

  • the successful and widespread development of synthetic organs

  • 50+ years in the future
